Compassionate Release Results

USA v. ROSE CASIMIRI CASE NO.: 18-CR-467-JSM-JSS
Case Result: Ms. Casimiri was sentenced to 6 months in prison on February 13, 2020. In May 2020, the Defendant was granted compassionate release and her sentence was reduced to time served, with the remainder of her imprisonment to be served on home confinement.

USA v. Gary Hirst CASE NO.: 15-CR-643 and 16-CR-371
Case Result: Mr. Hirst was sentenced to a total of 136 months in two separate cases. Upon the petitioning of the Bureau of Prisons, Mr. Hirst was released to home confinement in May 2020.

USA v. JERLOW CASE NO.: 15-CR-6044-SMJ
Case Result: Ms. Johnson was sentenced to 40 months imprisonment. Upon petitioning the Bureau of Prisons, she was released to a halfway house in July 2020.

USA v. Kenietta Johnson CASE NO.: 8:15-CR-320-SDM-TGW-6
Case Result: Mr. Holmes was sentenced to a term of seventy-eight months, upon petitioning the court and the Bureau of Prisons, Mr. Holmes was released to a halfway house, and then home in June of 2020.

USA v. Saul Velazquez-Bazan CASE NO.: 8:08-CR-00340-VMC-EAJ
Case Result: Mr. Velazquez-Bazan was sentenced to a 210-month term of imprisonment on June 9, 2017. On June 29, 2020, Mr. Velazquez-Bazan was granted compassionate release with his sentence reduced to time served.
